2. Get a large piece of plywood with the same dimensions as the countertop pattern. Place it on top of the countertop and push it flush against the wall before measuring it again and marking any areas that need to be trimmed. Trim the plywood to size and cut a hole for the sink with a circular saw.
3. When measuring and cutting the plywood, remember to account for the overhang measures on the countertop’s edges.
4. Drill screws into the cabinets to secure the plywood to the cabinets.
5. Getting beneath the counters and putting an electric drill at one of the cabinet braces’ corners. Screws are being inserted vertically to connect the plywood to the countertop. 8-10 inch spacing between screws (20–25 cm). Before drilling, make sure the plywood is level on all of the cabinets.
6. As a precaution, apply a coat of waterproofing membrane to the plywood.
7. Fill a paint tray halfway with waterproofing membrane and coat a tiny paint roller. Cover the entire surface of the plywood with the membrane. Allow it to cure overnight before proceeding with the installation.
8. The waterproofing membrane will prevent moisture from penetrating the plywood and causing it to swell.

Cutting and Fitting the Granite Slab

1. Test fit the granite countertop to ensure proper fit.
2. Place the granite slab on top of your countertop to check how it will fit. To avoid damage or breakage, exercise extreme caution.
3. Trace the cuts you’ll need to make with a whiteout pen or painter’s tape
4. Place your countertop template on top of the granite slab. Make any necessary modifications to the exterior edges. As needed, cut the granite block using a handheld wet circular saw. A wet saw is the greatest tool for cutting granite since it reduces the quantity of dust produced. Position the saw just outside the lines you drew and gradually glide the blade across the granite until you’ve cut all the way through the slab.
5. Smooth the edges of the granite slab with a wet grinding wheel. Start the grinder and place the round section of the tool next to the edge of the granite you wish to smooth. Drag the grinder back and forth along the edge of the slab until you are satisfied with its smoothness.
6. Install the sink and caulk around the rims on the bottom and top.
7. Insert your sink into the sinkhole and make sure it fits snugly. Apply a bead of caulk over the top perimeter of the sink, where it sits on the granite. Climb beneath the sink and run another bead of caulk around the underside of the sink, where it hangs within the cabinet.
