What thickness should patio paving be?

For domestic patios we recommend 2 cm to 3 cm thick paving slabs. The 3 cm option is preferred for driveways, heavy furniture or commercial areas, while 2 cm suits standard residential patios laid on a properly prepared mortar bed.

Does limestone patio paving need sealing?

Sealing is optional but recommended for patios. A breathable impregnating sealer reduces staining from food, leaves and pool chemicals and makes routine cleaning easier. Egyptian limestone performs well unsealed too, gaining a soft weathered patina over time.
